The other day I spotted the obscure 1983 album American Metal by the Brooklyn-based band Americade and for a couple dollars, I was powerless to resist its inane-looking charms. It’s competent and professional-sounding enough I guess, but utterly cheesy and not likely to hang around with my other records for much longer. Still, the packaging is a delight so here’s a detail of the inner sleeve collage, complete with drawn portraits of each band member. Their bio on allmusic.com is a fun short read.
